Terms of service
Version of 16 September 2026
Quathos Clock records and calculates working time. These terms say what it does, what it does not do, and what happens to your data when you leave.
Draft under review: the Brazilian entity is still being incorporated, and with it come the jurisdiction, the tax ID and the final wording. Nothing here is a commercial offer in the meantime.
What the service is
A software-based time clock and what comes with it: punches signed on the device, a receipt for the worker, timesheets, correction requests with approval flows, and the files an inspection asks for.
What it is not
- Not payroll. It measures time and delivers totals; your payroll system calculates pay.
- Not legal advice. Calculation applies the policy you configured, within the legal floor of each establishment's jurisdiction.
- It does not decide for you. No correction is approved automatically — every decision has a named person behind it.
On the record and immutability
A punch cannot be edited — not by you, not by us, not by whoever administers the database. A correction creates a NEW record beside the original, with author and reason. If you expect to be able to delete a punch, this is not the right product.
Plans and billing
Billing is per active employee per month. Statutory files, receipts and timesheets are never behind a plan, not even the free one: they are your legal obligation, and charging for them would be selling compliance the state already requires.
Termination and exit
You may leave at any time. On exit we hand over your time data in an open format, along with the statutory files for the period, then remove the data from our systems, subject to retention still running.
Availability
Punching has to work even when we are down: the device records and signs locally and syncs later. Our outage cannot stop someone from clocking in.
