Timekeeping built as evidence

Every hour, on the record.

Each punch is signed on the device, joins a chain that cannot be rewritten, and becomes a receipt in the worker's hand the same instant. When the labor inspector asks for the file, it already exists.

In a labor claim, whoever lacks a trustworthy record loses before saying a word.

Brazilian case law (TST Précis 338) presumes the hours the employee claims to be true when timekeeping is weak or missing. A spreadsheet, a notebook, or a system that accepts edits is not timekeeping: it is the other side's evidence.

How a punch becomes evidence

  1. 1

    The device signs

Every paired device is a REP-P with its own key, which never leaves it. The punch is signed on the spot, on the device — not on the server.

  2. 2

    The chain closes

Each record carries the previous hash. Altering one breaks the chain from there on, and verification is an ordered query — no third-party tool.

  3. 3

    The receipt is immediate

With NSR, device and employer identification. Without being asked, as the regulation requires.

  4. 4

    The file already exists

AFD and AEJ in the ministry layout, signed, with the top of the chain stamped by an external time authority.

Corrects without erasing

Not payroll

It measures time and delivers totals; the payroll you already use calculates pay and issues payslips. It exports to payroll and to eSocial, and replaces neither. It also gives no legal opinion: a violation is whatever the policy you configured points to.

Compliance

Two jurisdictions ask for different proof — and the rule that applies is the one where the person works, not where the company is headquartered. Time zone and rule set belong to the establishment: a chain with a site in São Paulo and another in Illinois runs under both at once.

United States

defensive regulation

The state does not dictate a format. You prove the MATH — to an expert witness, not to an inspector.

  • FLSA §211(c) and 29 CFR 516: 3 years of payroll, 2 years of time cards
  • Weekly overtime above 40h; there is no federal daily overtime
  • Breaks are state law — California penalizes each category with one hour of pay per day
  • Rounding only if neutral, and case law keeps narrowing it
  • Exempt vs non-exempt: the number one cause of class actions

Planned, nothing built yet.

There is no REP, no technical attestation, no certification: the risk is not a fine, it is a wage & hour class action. Biometrics decides on its own — Illinois BIPA grants a private right of action with statutory damages, so the module only turns on with written consent on file, or stays off in that state.

Brazil

prescriptive regulation

The state dictates the format. You prove the RECORD cannot be altered.

  • Ordinance MTP 671/2021, REP-P mode
  • AFD layout 004 and AEJ layout 002, signed
  • A receipt for the worker on every punch
  • Sequential record number per establishment, no gaps, no reuse
  • Five-year retention (labor claim statute of limitations)

Under construction — and we say where.

A REP-P is identified by its software registration at the INPI, and the AFD is signed with an ICP-Brasil corporate certificate. Until both exist, no device gets a final identifier: the product runs with a provisional one, marked as such on every receipt. We do not issue files that look valid without being valid.

AFD, AEJ and receipts are never behind a plan — not even the free one. They are your legal obligation to the state; charging for them would be selling what the law already demands. Plans charge for volume and modules, never for a right. Exporting your data is a right on any plan too.
